Biography

In the year 2004 songwriter Willem Evers founded a new band called AlternativA. In just 2 months Willem wrote 19 songs and selected 14 to be on the first AlternativA album called: A Night In Starlight, released in mid 2005. The band was formed in February 2004. The first 7 months AlternativA did nothing but rehearse over and over and over again. Until they where ready to release their first single: Join Us For Christmas, released in Oktober 2004. Later on, AlternativA started recording their first album on January 15th in the year 2005. In early July the album A Night In Starlight was released and instantly became very popular among the ELO-fans worldwide, because of the resemblance in sound.

Later on, in Oktober 2005 AlternativA re-released their first single Join Us For Christmas, this time with an extra bonus-track Voyage Of Time. In March 2008 new music finally was released on EP An Unexpected Surprise, containing three brand new tracks. At this moment AlternativA is rehearsing the new songs that are written for the new album and recording them. Later this year the new album will be launched!
